Ian rankin noughts and crosses5/27/2023 BU2 - An ex-library first US edition hardcover book SIGNED by author in fair condition in fair dust jacket that is mylar protected. This one is full original size, with dust jacket now protected in mylar. Author's first "Rebus" novel, his second outing only preceded by "The Flood," Polygon, 1986. All that said, this copy is in better-than-usual condition for a library survivor it shows virtually no wear to boards and with the white text block unmarked. Spine has a noticeable 3/16ths-inch lean. DJ also "good" with some mottling to bottom of spine where a label was attached orange title lettering to DJ spine completely sun-faded. DJ not price clipped original $12.95 price showing. Fortunately, however, this copy was "libraried" in the modern bar-code era, as a result of which both free endpapers are still present, and there's no indication any manila card holder or other large attachments were ever glued in. "First edition in the United States of America." Stamped "Wilbraham Public Library" to top and bottom page edges and to FEE, where a small strip of paper with serial number has also been glued down.
